Before we make this comparison we need tosee what are the features that actually make online applications more appealing to the users? Here are a few examples:
*Easy Pdf generation, convert and download to other formats
*Easy to email
*Online storge in order to access from anywhere
*Allows to upload to existing standard formats like xls, rtf, ppt and to edit them
Zoho is business-oriented and Google is consumer-oriented therefore their applications differ a little in what they offer, and a whole lot when it comes to active users.
With Zoho users are impressed by the wide range of available applications, and their depth of features… However I think that googledocs would be more successful as people already have gmail accounts they can use and wouldn’t require them to sign up and go through that extra step. Also the name GOOGLE is already out there and people are a whole lot more familiar with their other applications and fore sure there are many google fans out there...
This is a good table which compares Zoho and Google.

Good point about how the different software has focused on different use cases.
